The workers describes the story:

A flight to Antarctica turns right into a frantic rescue mission after the airplane mysteriously vanishes.
Efforts to find the lacking passengers lead rescuers to find the airplane’s course set for a never-before-seen mountain vary – the most important on Earth.

Towering over 10,000 ft above sea stage, the Everest-eclipsing eighth surprise of the world (formally nicknamed the “Mountains of Insanity”) attracts consideration from the world’s finest climbers and thrill-seekers. Though they’ve conquered the tallest peaks prior to now, Earth’s new
vertigo-inducing heights are surpassed solely by the dreadful horrors awaiting on the high.

Yūsaku Kumagai (in-between animation for Naruto Shippūden: The Will of Fire, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Mermaid Legend movies) directed the pilot anime movie at Stereotype. Senbon Umishima (Black Bullet, She and Her Cat -Everything Flows-) and Ryu Ōyama have been accountable for character and creature designs, respectively. Yasutada Kato (Case Closed, Major) was the artwork director, and Chiemi Kurosaki (Classroom Crisis, A Couple of Cuckoos) was the animation director. Madaraushi is credited for planning, unique story, and as government producer. Isekaijoucho carried out the theme tune.

Different workers for the pilot anime consists of:

Madaraushi launched a crowdfunding marketing campaign in October 2021 to fund the pilot anime movie, which was initially titled Kyōki Sanmyaku, and is the “first step” towards an anime movie.

The marketing campaign for the pilot anime movie acquired the 2022 CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Award within the “Animation and Manga” class for elevating greater than 1400% of its objective, netting greater than US$1 million (119 million yen) from nearly 12,000 backers. The total-length film is now in manufacturing, and behind-the-scene footages will stream on Madaraushi’s YouTube channel.

The Cthulu Mythos-themed tabletop RPG Kyōki Sanmyaku ~Jashin no Sanrei~ takes inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft‘s similarly-titled guide On the Mountains of Insanity (titled “Kyōki no Sanmyaku ni te” in Japanese), and is a targeted situation that has gamers exploring and climbing a mountain in a horror-themed story. The standalone RPG has no direct connection to the Name of Cthulhu tabletop RPG, or Rob Daviau and Miguel Coimbra’s equally titled Mountains of Insanity board recreation.
